These pictures were taken at Gavin's Point Dam. Lots of water at 160 CFS. Most of the local people that we talked to had no idea what was transpiring above or below the dam.

A sight to see! note the cars crossing the top of the dam

spillway

it's hard to describe the speed of the water

the mist rising from the water could be seen from 5 miles away

water is just so volatile coming out of dam

lots of people

note current coming out of the electric plant spillway

How much force does it take to create that mass amount of

mist in the air? It can be seen from 5 miles away people!

My home is located along the bluffs in Ne. On the evening of the fourth we can usually see the fireworks in Onawa, Blenco, Little Sioux, Mondamin, Modale, and Mo. Valley. It is good to know that they are still dry. Keep the faith and hope that the water stays low.

Next to Gavin's from air depending on the weather.
