Gavin's Point Dam |

A sight to see! note the cars crossing the top of the dam |

spillway |

it's hard to describe the speed of the water |

the mist rising from the water could be seen from 5 miles away |

water is just so volatile coming out of dam |

another shot of this historical man-made event |

current of water that is entering the top side of the dam |

another shot of current |

looking at the hydro-electric side of the dam |

lots of people |

note current coming out of the electric plant spillway |

How much force does it take to create that mass amount of
mist in the air? It can be seen from 5 miles away people! |

crossing over the dam looking down river |

Rainbow created by mist! |

almost pretty |

it would be pretty if I did not know where that water was heading |

My home is located along the bluffs in Ne. On the
evening of the fourth we can usually see the fireworks in Onawa,
Blenco, Little Sioux, Mondamin, Modale, and Mo. Valley. It is good
to know that they are still dry. Keep the faith and hope that the
water stays low.
Next to Gavin's from air depending on the weather. |
